Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our Nuclear Medicine team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and manage a team of Nuclear Medicine Technologists, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are up-to-date with the latest procedures and technologies.
  • Workflow and Scheduling
    • Organize and manage the daily schedule of Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing wait times.
    • Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet the needs of the department.
    • Develop and implement procedures for handling unexpected problems or issues.
  • Patient Care and Services
    • Ensure that all Nuclear Medicine procedures are performed to the highest standard, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
    • Develop and implement procedures for handling special circumstances or complex cases.
    • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Current California CNMT certification
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
  • BLS (CPR) certification
  • Applied background in nuclear medicine and associated modalities
  • Knowledge of medical center, HR, and UC policies and processes
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory agency standards
  • Proven ability to supervise and coordinate activities of subordinate staff
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in training and guiding employees
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a complex environment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with staff, patients, and other medical personnel
