Radiologic Service Supervisor Job Summary

The Radiologic Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Imaging department, ensuring safe and efficient care of patients while maintaining fiscal responsibility for staff and supply levels. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train radiologic technologists and ancillary support staff
  • Coordinate daily work schedules and shift coverage
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates and quality assurance standards
  • Manage and implement data collection and analysis to monitor clinical, operational, and financial outcomes
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, researchers, and other clinical staff
Requirements:
  • Licensed technologist in a radiology modality
  • 2-3 years previous supervisory experience
  • 10 years of imaging experience
  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts, sites, and lead coverage for weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
  • ARRT certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area
