About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Service Agent to join our team at Crescent Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming smile, using a positive and clear speaking voice to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming pertinent details such as room rate and number of guests.
  • Promote Crescent and brand marketing programs to enhance our guests' experience.
  • Make informed decisions regarding room assignments, ensuring they meet our guests' needs and preferences.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods.
  • Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank.
  • Accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using our computer system.
  • Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication, inputting messages into the computer and retrieving them for our guests.
  • Close guest accounts at time of check-out, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results.
Requirements
  • Previous Hyatt experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous front office experience is essential.
  • Ability to communicate in English is a must.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition is required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
