Clinical Informatics Specialist

At Optum, we're committed to delivering care that's guided by technology and innovation. As a Clinical Informatics Specialist, you'll play a critical role in helping our clients optimize their Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and improve clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess opportunities for technology improvements and collaborate with clinicians to understand workflows and define problems.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve clinical workflows and reduce documentation.
- Collaborate with clients to create business cases for new technologies and technology projects.
- Support the development and adoption of standards for evidence-based care practice.
- Serve as the client clinical informaticist for optimization solution implementations.
- 1+ years of clinical experience, e.g., RN, LPN, MA.
- Experience working with Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) technology in an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Local resident or willingness to relocate to client site location(s) in Maine, USA.
- Experience as a clinical informaticist.
- In-depth knowledge of Cerner and the full implementation lifecycle of Cerner's suite of electronic medical record applications.
- Demonstrated experience leading small to large-scale optimization projects.
