Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing professional-level accounting work and preparing financial reports. This role will also involve supervising all accounting operations within the unit and advising the Department Head on fiscal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Graduate Assistant appointment information and process necessary transactions in UGA Jobs and OneUSG Connect.
  • Process payroll reports on a bi-weekly and monthly basis to ensure accurate payment amounts and funding allocation.
  • Prepare summer school planning materials and process all necessary OneUSG Connect transactions.
  • Coordinate appointments across colleges for activities that extend beyond departmental boundaries.
  • Maintain all employee records for the department.

Requirements
  • Word processing and computer skills with knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of UGA financial and HCM systems as well as various reporting tools.
  • Functional knowledge of the services provided by the UGA Office of Global Engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions
  • Light to moderate physical effort in sedentary to light work.
  • May involve some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 30 pounds.
