Ideal Candidate:

We are in search of a Cybersecurity Training Specialist (Secret cleared) to spearhead the creation and implementation of cybersecurity training initiatives within a fast-paced and secure environment. The perfect candidate will possess a robust background in cybersecurity education, curriculum design, and instructional methodologies, with the capability to engage stakeholders and ensure adherence to federal IT security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity experts and subject matter specialists to gather relevant content for training development, including planning, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
  • Oversee the designated cybersecurity training delivery platform.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and end users through various channels, including email and in-person interactions.
  • Assist in preparing cybersecurity awareness and training presentations, reports for senior management, and policy updates.
  • Design and develop cybersecurity training modules, providing expertise in blended training development (including online formats) using government-approved tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Adobe Pro, Adobe Premiere Rush, KnowBe4, etc.).
  • Ensure that all cybersecurity training modules comply with 508 and SCORM standards.
  • Create and maintain professionally written handbooks related to the cybersecurity training program.
  • Collect, analyze, and compile performance metrics to assess and document training compliance.
  • Support the planning and execution of social engineering exercises.
  • Engage in consistent client interactions, including formal presentations and routine communications.
  • Act as a liaison between technology and business stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing and managing cybersecurity training working groups and integrated project teams.
  • Plan and support the development of cybersecurity training videos as needed.
  • Help consolidate and analyze data requests.
  • Update relevant cybersecurity training resources, ensuring all materials are current and accessible.
  • Deliver all required work products by established deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in cybersecurity training, curriculum development, and instructional methodologies.
  • Familiarity with federal IT security requirements and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional instructional design and content development skills, capable of creating engaging training materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on assessing training needs and developing tailored training solutions.
  • Experience in designing and delivering role-specific cybersecurity training programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite products (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Adobe Pro, Adobe Premiere Rush, KnowBe4, etc.).

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • One or more of the following certifications: PMP, GISP, CISM, CISSP, CGRC.
  • An active Secret security clearance is required to commence employment.
