About this Role:

Denver Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified Secondary Education Teacher to join our team. As a Secondary Education Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching grade level material, content-specific lesson plans, and Personal Development, following DPS standards-based curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with DPS standards and goals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, best practices, and educational research to continuously improve teaching methods and student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license required.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a focus on student success.
