Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a member of our school community, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified teacher to work with students with moderate needs in a secondary setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and be able to create engaging and inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with moderate needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student success
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and adapt instruction to meet the evolving needs of students
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license
  • Experience working with students with moderate needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
