Helicopter Pilot Opportunity

Bristow Group is seeking a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support our offshore oil and gas operations in the Gulf of Mexico region. This Captain position works a 5 on, 2 off schedule (Monday through Friday) and is based in Houma, Louisiana.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, adhering to Bristow operational standards and regulations.
  • Ensure passenger and customer safety, with a focus on situational awareness and compliance.
  • Manage passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings, and baggage loading to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Complete necessary flight planning paperwork, preflight, fueling, and oversight of manifesting to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, including journey logs, personal flight and duty sheets, and aircraft technical logbook times.
  • Report aircraft mechanical irregularities and ensure aircraft airworthiness before, during, and after flights.
  • Facilitate communications with customers and ensure Bristow is represented professionally.
  • Work primarily in the GOM offshore region, with occasional temporary assignments to other GOM locations.
  • Stay up to date on Bristow operational and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Meet minimum requirements outlined by 14 CFR.
  • Hold a 1st class medical certificate.
  • Complete the position's screening questionnaire to determine eligibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to work with a large and varied workload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Hold an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Helicopter Instrument rating.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in the offshore oil and gas environment.
  • ATP.
  • 1,500 hours PIC helicopter required.
  • 100 hours offshore.
  • 100 hours within the preceding 12 months.
  • 50 hours in AS350.
