Job Summary:

Naval Systems is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Development Coordinator to support our Business Development program with proposal activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Planning and Logistics: Collaborate with the Proposal Coordinator and Proposal Manager to plan and coordinate proposal activities, including document production, reviews, and delivery.
  • Document Production: Assist with the development of compliant proposal documents, including formatting and editing.
  • Configuration Control: Monitor and maintain configuration control of all proposal artifacts.
  • Desktop Publishing and Graphics: Assist with desktop publishing, graphics, and editing activities to support proposal development.
  • Review and Delivery: Prepare review copies, merge reviewers' comments, and coordinate final document production, including formatting and preparing electronic copies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of personnel, including business development staff, technical experts, and production staff to facilitate efficient and effective proposal development.
  • Read and interpret RFP requirements to ensure compliance with font, type size, margins, and other proposal submission requirements.
  • Monitor Government sites for proposal opportunities and maintain opportunity spreadsheets.
  • Review the proposal schedule with the proposal team and work with the Proposal Manager to maintain configuration control of documents and deliverables in SharePoint.
  • Provide logistics support to the proposal team, including coordinating and scheduling publications support.
  • Perform visual Quality Assurance (QA) inspection of all proposal deliverables.
  • Prepare electronic files and work closely with the Proposal Team on other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with proposal leaders, proposal authors, and business development personnel.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as required to meet proposal schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert Desktop Publisher able to create and format visually appealing Microsoft Word templates and Excel documents in compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and other Creative Suite software.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
