Job Summary

IMSolutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to support the federal government in Washington, DC. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to align leadership with business planning and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and address vendor inquiries during steady state and disaster-response operations, tracking data and inputting information into the identified tracking tool.
  • Educate local vendors through procurement education seminars to foster successful business participation.
  • Assist in coordinating business outreach events with DHS stakeholders and present clearly and concisely how to do business and contract with the agency.
  • Implement policy, tools, training, and programs to ensure regulation compliance.
  • Support stakeholder engagement to identify new training topics and provide recommendations on acquisition best practices and lessons learned.
  • Maintain accuracy and availability of content on collaboration platforms, such as SharePoint sites.
  • Coordinate with Contracting Officer Representative, DHS program officials, and contractors to identify required information and materials.
  • Facilitate knowledge transition activities to ensure seamless program and technical support services.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or a related field with at least eight years of experience in the acquisition field.
  • Experience and subject matter expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regulations and policies, including Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR) and Homeland Security Acquisition Manual (HSAM).
  • Ability to train or convey technical jargon to non-technical individuals.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three or more years.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance.

Benefits
$75,000 to $110,000 - Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location. Outstanding medical, dental, vision, Tri-Care Supplement, HSA, FSA, insurance, and additional discounts. IMS jobs are posted as open until filled.
