About the Role

Savista is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services Representative III - Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Access Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Patient Registration Team, ensuring that department standards and procedures are followed.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers, providing a superior patient experience and ensuring high satisfaction survey scores.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the revenue cycle and how patient registration affects the billing process.
  • Training and Development: Assist with the training and orientation of new staff, ensuring that they are fully trained and operating independently within the 90-day training period.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve insurance verification issues using verification tools and prioritize overview of work queue management, patient registration corrections, and insurance verification corrections.
  • Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with leadership, reviewing processes and problem-solving to meet departmental needs.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a customer service role, interacting directly with customers in person with responsibility and accountability for superior customer experience.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively verbally communicate with customers, simplify complex information, and navigate Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience working within the registration process in a hospital or physician office setting, including demonstrated success in obtaining patient demographic and financial information, handling insurance verification, and obtaining authorizations.
