About the Internship

The CBRE Accounting Internship is a 9-week summer program that will introduce you to our company, our fast-paced industry, and our best-in-class professionals. You'll have the opportunity to work with our Accounting or Finance teams and gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement.

As an intern, you'll participate in cross-functional groups, lead and communicate interdependencies, and contribute to special projects that advance financial analysis and quality of reports. You'll also have the opportunity to work on current and innovative Accounting and Finance projects.

What You'll Do
  • Participate in the financial close, month-end reporting, consolidation of financial results, and SOX program planning procedures.
  • Complete special projects to advance financial analysis and quality of reports to support management decisions.
  • Assist with internal financial reports and interpret financial data.
  • Improve documentation of existing accounting processes and find opportunities for operational improvement or automation.
What You'll Need
  • A strong academic background in business, accounting, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and a focus on finance and/or commercial real estate.
  • Knowledge of basic financial terms, concepts, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present information to supervisors and finance management.
