Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to lead our Utility Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of field and office staff, managing projects from start to finish, and ensuring services meet company quality standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple Utility Engineering projects, including oversight of CAD staff, troubleshooting field staff issues, logistics, scheduling, and tracking of deliverables.
  • Oversee and report budgets and use of resources.
  • Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts.
  • Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple projects.
  • Participate in business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders.
  • Effectively interface with sub-consultants and other business relationships.
  • Manage and report financial status, including AR/WIP and billing cycles.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of industry-related work experience in a professional or management capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Professional License or ability to get licensed quickly strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale projects.
  • Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members.
  • Ability to oversee, mentor, and motivate a project team, troubleshoot issues, and problem-solve on the fly.
  • Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others.
