BGE, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Utility Engineer/Coordinator to join our team in the Central Texas Region. As a key member of our Transportation Team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination for utility adjustment efforts to resolve conflicts with utilities impacted by projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, estimating, and relocation of public and private utilities, including electric, telecom, and pipelines.
  • Design and construction experience of roadway and highway projects.
  • Perform utility and Right of Way research.
  • Review utility construction plans and coordinate relocations to meet client schedules.
  • Represent BGE at client meetings.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Identify and resolve utility conflicts in a timely and feasible manner.
  • Input utility information into MicroStation and create Utility Layouts.
  • Coordinate with clients and utility owners to ensure project schedules are met.
  • Design and review utility relocation plans to comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 4+ years of overall civil engineering experience and 2+ years of utility coordination experience.
  • Passed FE exam and/or EIT certification preferred.
  • Proficient in MicroStation and MS Office, knowledgeable of Geopak.
  • Strong communication, scheduling, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with short deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate challenges across multiple projects and stakeholders.
