About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Entry to Mid-Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our environmental business, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of medium-to-large, complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project managers in planning and executing environmental investigation and remediation tasks.
  • Prepare and review technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, safety plans, and project specifications, including cost estimates and budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of charts, boring logs, and cross-sections depicting subsurface conditions.
  • Conduct field work, including directing the installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells, groundwater/soil sampling, site inspections, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Prepare subcontracts (Federal and/or civilian) and coordinate all aspects of subcontractor tasks, including schedule, logistics, health, and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with regulators and other stakeholders to further project delivery and success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a multi-disciplined environmental science or geologic science.
  • Two to six years' experience in the environmental industry or related environmental consulting experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel required. ArcGIS experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience with site investigations, remediation, sampling, and knowledge of TCEQ and RRC cleanup programs.
  • Highly motivated, customer-focused, and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with remediation of heavy industry and RCRA related sites.
  • Compliance and hazardous waste management experience.
  • SPCC and SWPPP compliance experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory analytical testing and data validation/interpretation.
