Job Summary

Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our retail sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer care, promoting sales, and maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class customer care and support to customers
  • Promote sales and service to customers
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Work as a team player to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment
  • Perform various tasks, including cleaning, mopping, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (16 years of age or older for Canada applicants)
  • Must have good people skills and an outgoing, friendly attitude
  • Must be able to work retail hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language (bilingual in Spanish a plus)

Physical Demands

  • Standing, lifting, walking, bending, and stretching are required regularly
  • Manual dexterity to maintain housekeeping and perform other duties

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional noisy conditions
