GENERAL FUNCTION:

The role involves assessing, designing, and executing technological solutions to advance the technology strategies for Financial Crimes and Disputes divisions. The individual may act as the application steward for third-party software associated with a line of business. Responsibilities include collaborating with vendors to comprehend forthcoming modifications, integrating software into the technology roadmap, and devising strategies to ensure seamless business operations. A thorough understanding of the bank's systems and necessary configurations to accommodate changes is essential. The position requires working on system and data integrations while being part of an agile team, closely collaborating with the product owner to ensure user stories are well-defined for effective technology solutions.

All employees are expected to uphold risk management by openly sharing ideas, raising concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. It is vital to consistently act in the best interest of customers and colleagues, ensuring that actions contribute to a positive customer experience. Operating within the Bank's risk framework, you will achieve results while continuously identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting various risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary contact for software vendors related to specific lines of business.
  • Stay informed about upcoming software changes and enhancements and their potential impact on the business.
  • Collaborate with business units to design solutions that incorporate software updates and work effectively with partners for implementation.
  • Understand the technology roadmap of the business and provide recommendations regarding the continued use or discontinuation of current third-party software solutions.
  • Work closely with the product owner to ensure user stories are detailed and clear for developers to meet customer requirements.
  • Implement and sustain new features and capabilities while continuously enhancing the quality of our technical products and services.
  • Follow industry best practices and organizational standards, actively participating in communities of practice to refine and communicate these standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and developing maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
  • Stay updated with technological trends and innovations in relevant fields.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for your team's products and services.
  • Mentor and train new or less experienced team members.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Over six years of engineering or IT experience pertinent to the role.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to engage in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Solid understanding and extensive experience with contemporary software development practices, tools, and hardware technologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT security best practices.
  • Expertise in one or more technical or functional domains relevant to the position.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting intricate technical solutions.
  • Technical skills aligned with the specific requirements of the position.
  • Additional skills to enhance team compatibility: ETL (DataStage, XLS, XTLS, JSON), Middleware (WebSphere, IHS, MQ), and Data (Oracle, SQL, PSQL).
