Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Head Baker to join our team at Louis Swiss Bakery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume food production and catering, with at least 3 years of previous experience in a well-established restaurant. The Head Baker will be responsible for overseeing all retail and wholesale bakery production, managing inventory, and collaborating with the chef team to introduce seasonal and special menu items.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all retail and wholesale bakery production, ensuring quality and consistency
- Assist in management of wholesale accounts, catering, and special orders
- Collaborate with the chef team to introduce seasonal and special menu items that align with MML concepts
- Manage inventory and orders responsibly to control costs
- Write weekly schedules that coincide with financial projections and labor goals
- Foster a positive work environment and continue to grow, build, and motivate the team
- Four years of progressive experience in high-volume food production or catering
- At least 3 years of previous high-level experience in a well-established restaurant
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- This is an evening/night position. Shifts are from 2pm-12am or 3pm-1am. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
