Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and decorate pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in planning and executing the dessert menu and cakes.
- Test and taste recipes with the Executive Chef.
- Develop new and maintain existing cake designs and recipes.
- Use precise measurements and attention to timing to ensure high-quality products.
- Set time cycles for products and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Use a variety of kitchen tools and equipment to prepare and decorate pastries and cakes.
- Draft a list of products and ingredients needed for ordering.
- Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain personal cleanliness.
- Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills.
- Ability to communicate and understand direction in English to ensure safety in the workplace.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure to manage high volume of production.
- Active listening and learning skills.
- Reading and speaking comprehension skills.
- Discipline to follow set standards.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
