Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (MA or M.S.) in communication disorders from an accredited institution recognized by ASHA and the state board.
  • Current license and/or registration as a Speech Language Pathologist in the applicable state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech therapy evaluations as per physician directives.
  • Accurately document findings using standardized evaluation formats, adhering to all guidelines.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans that include both long-term and short-term goals, frequency, duration, treatment modalities, therapeutic interventions, and clinical guidelines.
  • Ensure physician orders are secured for evaluations, treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
  • Deliver effective treatment to patients, utilizing appropriate modalities and adjusting treatment as necessary while following safety precautions.

Work Environment:
Settings may include outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, inpatient units, nursing homes, acute care hospitals, and other healthcare environments.
