Job Title: Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp)

The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) is responsible for monitoring and maintaining utilities and process equipment following standard procedures, requirements, and safety policies. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing utilities and process equipment while optimizing the utilization of facilities.



Job Core Responsibilities:
  • Plans, Organizes, and Prioritizes Work Activities: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) plans, organizes, and prioritizes work activities and duties to maintain facilities.
  • Inspects, Repairs, Replaces, Services, and Maintains Existing Electromechanical Equipment: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) inspects, repairs, replaces, services, and maintains existing electromechanical equipment.
  • Conducts Electrical Systems Conduit Runs: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) conducts electrical systems conduit runs, including light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels.
  • Understands and Follows Safety Procedures: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) understands and follows safety procedures, maintenance instructions, manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams.
  • Ensures Safe Usage and Disposal of Hazardous Materials: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) ensures the safe usage and disposal of hazardous materials according to safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
  • Maintains Necessary Records/Documents: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) maintains necessary records/documents of work performed.
  • Follows All Safety Policy and Procedures: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) follows all safety policy and procedures.
  • Other Responsibilities: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) performs other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular, Consistent, and Punctual Attendance: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) is required to have regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.


Job Specifications:
  • Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Years Experience: 2 years or more of relevant experience.


Skills:
  • Working Knowledge of Electromechanical and Electrical Systems: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) has a working knowledge of electromechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to Recognize and Solve Typical Problems: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) has the ability to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Experience in Working within a Team Environment: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) has experience in working within a team environment and is able to adapt to changes in work requirements.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: The Facilities Technician, Sr (Temp) has excellent customer service skills.
