Job Title: Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist to join our team at Planate Management Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing structural design and analysis support for various projects, including new construction and renovation design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and provide input on conceptual designs, charrettes, pre-final and final submittals, shop drawings, and documents prepared by NAVFAC personnel, NAVFAC contracted A&E design firms, and other contracted firms.
  • Assist the government in developing conceptual designs, charrettes, pre-final, and final design documents.
  • Assist the government in post award design services and post construction award services for design submittals, construction submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Assist the government developing estimates of quantities and cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Participate in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborates with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with specific project requirements.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering issued by a U.S. state, commonwealth, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Must be a U.S. Passport holder.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional civil engineering - structural code compliant facilities design experience for new construction and renovation design experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering from an ABET-accredited program supplemented by a considerable amount of hands-on facilities design experience.
