Job Overview

The role of an Electrical Project Coordinator is crucial in managing the various elements of electrical projects, which encompass commercial facilities, residential complexes, public infrastructure, sustainable energy initiatives, and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Establish the project scope, direction, and comprehensive strategy for clients and teams.
  • Scheduling: Develop timelines and allocate resources, including time and budget.
  • Management: Oversee electrical personnel and contractors, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Collaboration: Create solutions, resolve issues, and celebrate achievements.
  • Communication: Convey plans, objectives, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all plans and documents.
  • Networking: Foster genuine relationships with industry professionals and influencers.
  • Troubleshooting: Utilize innovative problem-solving techniques to achieve project goals.

Additional duties include managing project finances through regular forecasting and budgeting meetings, facilitating pre-construction meetings for smooth transitions, estimating and initiating change orders, providing layout drawings to field personnel to support design intent, and ensuring project details are up-to-date in project management software.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma (or GED equivalent) along with an Associate's Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with construction management software.
  • Current OSHA 10 certification.

Successful candidates will exhibit:

  • Extensive experience in conveying complex electrical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical systems (including power, fire alarm, lighting, grounding, telecommunications, generators, EV charging, and system maintenance).
  • A collaborative and process-oriented approach to teamwork.
  • Capability to develop and manage contract project documents for large teams.
  • A solid technical foundation, with comprehensive knowledge of project phases.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and permitting processes.
  • Strong client relationship management skills to deliver on commitments.

Highly qualified candidates may also possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
