Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our moving and storage centers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the fleet to ensure clean and well-maintained equipment is delivered to customers.
Perform profit/loss analyses to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Hire and mentor new team members to ensure a high-performing team.
Track and itemize inventory to maintain accurate records and prevent losses.
Manage the personnel budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care and service.
Maintain a secure environment and clean premises.

Requirements:

1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
Computer expertise and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
