About the Role

CenterWell is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Care Team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in providing high-quality medical treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-visit planning and manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
  • Obtain and record medical history and vital signs, and room patients for medical procedures and treatments
  • Perform specimen collection and point of care testing, and prepare and administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Maintain established quality control standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program or 5+ years of experience and approval from the provider
  • CPR certification and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to pass a proficiency exam
  • Ability to work at the CenterWell Care clinic located at 3601 S Business Hwy 281 Edinburg, TX 78539
  • Preferred qualifications include Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, phlebotomy experience, medication/vaccine administration experience, and 1+ years of MA experience
