About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cultural Arts Assistant to join our team at the City of Edinburg. As a Cultural Arts Assistant, you will play a key role in promoting an accommodating and welcoming environment for the community. Your primary responsibilities will include providing high-quality service in the Arts department, registering students, issuing materials, and maintaining records of new registrants. You will also assist with cultural arts services, organize and provide assistance to your supervisor with the maintenance of cultural arts programs, events, and festivals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors
  • Register students and maintain accurate records
  • Issue materials and supplies as needed
  • Assist with cultural arts services and events
  • Organize and maintain cultural arts programs, events, and festivals
  • Provide support to the supervisor with administrative tasks
  • Assist with event setup and staffing
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Valid Class C driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety
