Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Alpine Physician Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams by reviewing medical records, updating patient information, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Assist physicians and mid-level providers during exams, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean and organized, and restock supplies as needed.
  • Provide initial medical screening, taking weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, and basic medical history.
  • Utilize time efficiently, assisting with duties such as restocking rooms, checking supplies, and ensuring all areas are clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
  • Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
  • Demonstrates flexibility regarding job duties and assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-stress and fast-moving environment.
  • Culturally sensitive and demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with ethnically diverse populations.
  • Working knowledge of "Universal Precautions" and thorough understanding of the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure according to the general standards set forth by HIPAA.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish and other languages strongly preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, insurance, and ability to travel as required to perform duties.
Education:
  • High school Graduate (or GED) required.
  • Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant.
  • Current, valid CPR certification.
