Histology Technician or Histotechnologist

We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Histology Technicians/Histotechnologists in the Anatomic Pathology Frozen Section Laboratory at Mayo Clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of technical procedures to create microscopic slide preparations, including accessioning specimens, specimen processing, and microtomy techniques.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends as needed.
- Prepare specimens and perform testing procedures on pathology specimens to create microscopic slide preparations for diagnostic and/or prognostic analysis by the pathologist.
- Apply technical theory to provide overall operational support necessary to maintain and optimize testing activities.
- Associate degree required for Histology Technician (HT) position, with coursework including 24 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.
- Histology Technician (HT) certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) required.
- Bachelor's degree required for Histotechnologist (HTL) position, with Histotechnologist (HTL) certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) required.
