Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team at Georgia Hospice Care. As a Child Life Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing emotional support and comfort to children and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of a life-limiting illness.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients to identify their psychosocial, financial, and environmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address these needs
- Provide emotional support and comfort to children and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., child life, psychology, social work)
- Certification as a Child Life Specialist (CCLS) from the Child Life Council
- 2 years of experience as a Child Life Specialist in a healthcare setting
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient homes
