About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team at Georgia Hospice Care. As a Child Life Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and comfort to children and their families during times of need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to identify their psychosocial, financial, and environmental needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address these needs and promote patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of the Plan of Care.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families, and educate them on coping strategies and resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and CCLS certification from the Child Life Council.
  • 2 years of experience as a Child Life Specialist in a healthcare setting.
  • Current CCLS certification.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
