Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team as a Child Health Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to children and families in our community.
Job Summary:The Public Health Nurse - Child Health Specialist will provide professional nursing care to children and families in our community. This includes assessing client health care needs, providing treatments, administering medications and vaccines, and educating clients and families on healthy practices.
Responsibilities:- Provides comprehensive assessment of client health care needs
- Provides treatments, administers medications and vaccines, and preventative/maintenance care to clients and families
- Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans
- Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records
- Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by client responses and conditions
- Monitors all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity
- Monitors, records, and reports symptoms and changes in client conditions
- Prepares clients for and assists with examinations and treatments
- Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
- Provides education to clients, families, and community service providers
- Provides healthcare, first aid, and immunizations
- Provides school-related health care services
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Additionally, you must have CPR certification and one year of nursing experience in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting.
