We are seeking qualified professionals for the role of Oracle Middleware Engineer to provide essential support for our Federal Client and Project.

Security Clearance: Active interim Secret or higher

Mandatory Certifications:

CompTIA Security+, and an additional environmental certification within six months.

Key Responsibilities:

The Oracle Middleware Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Engineering and managing mid-tier systems, including architecture, installation, and configuration of Application and Web Servers, Portals, and related software in Linux environments.
  • Ensuring the infrastructure meets performance and availability standards post-deployment.
  • Providing support for WebLogic/Oracle Fusion Middleware and OBIEE administration in both UAT and Production environments.
  • Assisting with project releases, troubleshooting outages, and automating administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining security protocols in accordance with ARMY security requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring and administrative dashboards for proactive system management.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Managing tasks in ServiceNow for installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Documenting progress on ServiceNow tickets.
  • Reviewing Army Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) periodically.
  • Creating documentation for team knowledge sharing.
  • Staying updated with current practices and literature to support business needs and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Application Server architecture in large enterprise environments using WebLogic/Oracle Fusion Middleware and OBIEE Administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux OS administration.
  • Strong communication skills for professional interactions with external customers.
  • Possession of a DOD Secret security clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • 1-5 years of practical experience in application server management.
  • Experience in a Web Application Server environment within a large enterprise.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or CHEF.
  • Understanding of application network architectures for troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for presenting system proposals and resolving issues.
  • Strong organizational skills for prioritizing tasks and managing project timelines.
  • Good interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) integrations like OBIEE.
  • Familiarity with Web Services (SOAP and REST) and XML.
  • Knowledge of DTD, XSLT, Xerces, and Xalan is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Cyber Command STIG processes and procedures.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is preferred.
