Technical Skills and Competencies Required

4+ years PL/SQL development experience including experience in each of the following areas:

• Creating and maintaining large packages, stored procedures, functions, record structures, tables, views, indexes and triggers

• PL/SQL unit testing, code troubleshooting and debugging

• Query performance tuning

• Database design

Soft skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

• Self-motivated individual with strong desire to solve problems through investigative means; strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively, as well as function effectively and collaboratively within a team

• Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for implementing business logic in Oracle DB packages, functions and procedures that supports the development, deployment and support of large mission critical enterprise Web applications

• Involved in all phases of the software lifecycle with an emphasis on database logic implementation and design

• Assisting in the design of the application architecture with a focus on scalability, maintainability, security and performance

• Following established coding standards and naming conventions
