Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Sleep Clinic team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and obtain brief histories, alerting physicians to potential life-threatening situations and recognizing critical diagnostic data.
  • Coordinate the execution of physician orders, determining priorities of care and intervening in cases outside normal clinic protocol.
  • Communicate with co-workers to facilitate continuity of care and maintain steady patient progress.
  • Ensure adequate discharge instructions are given to patients, including family members, and refer patients for future care as needed.
  • Perform waived laboratory testing procedures according to protocols and demonstrate continued competency in patient testing, quality control, and proficiency testing.
  • Accurately document patient visits, telephone calls, refill requests, and other encounters in Epic Ambulatory.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of directly transferable experience.
  • National certification from NCCT, NHA, AMT, or AAMA required at time of hire.
  • BLS certification required at time of hire.
