Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations plays a critical role in the coordination and scheduling of all broadcast content for the National Football League (NFL). This position requires a high level of expertise in commercial operations, programming, and sales, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with advertiser and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the daily Broadcast Log, ensuring all commercials, promotions, and on-air elements are properly scheduled.
  • Enter and manage formats for all NFLN shows in Wide Orbit, adjusting formats as needed to ensure each program times out correctly.
  • Manage program changes within Wide Orbit, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
  • Actualize all available NFL shows, including NFL Pre-Season games.
  • Produce and deliver Alternate Logs, reconciling ancillary networks (ESPN and Sunday Ticket).
  • Assist in analyzing inventory capacity to maximize advertising revenue.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to Traffic Team members on copy and commercial instructions.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 5+ years of media experience.
  • Proficient in Wide Orbit Network, Wide Orbit Program, and PC computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of sales, commercial traffic, programming, and the television/cable industry.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Effective management of issues and relationships, with a calm and clear direction under stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Terms and Expected Hours of Work
  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
Salary and Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting, that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.

Salary: $100,000-$135,000 USD
