Job Title: Lead Seafood Clerk PT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Seafood Clerk PT to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a Lead Seafood Clerk, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring that our guests receive excellent service, and our seafood department operations are maintained to achieve maximum sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service: Ensure all guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the seafood department staff. Create a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain desired levels of inventory and supplies for the seafood department. Ensure in-stock conditions through proper ordering.
  3. Department Operations: Operate the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
  4. Quality Control: Maintain high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensure all products are in date.
  5. Safety and Sanitation: Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
  6. Staff Development: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the seafood department staff to ensure meat/seafood service clerks achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
  7. Product Preparation: Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
  8. Communication: Communicate guest requests/concerns to management.
  9. Announcements: Make PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
  10. Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality.
  2. Teamwork: Ability to work well with others. Ability to sell and interact with guests.
  3. Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
  4. Communication: Ability to read and understand information and directions.
  5. Knowledge: Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
  6. Supervision: Ability to supervise people including training and development.
  7. Adaptability: Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  8. Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  9. Work Environment: Must be able to work in a cold environment.
  10. Physical Abilities: Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
