Job Description

Quality Distribution, a leading bulk liquid chemical carrier, is seeking a highly skilled Regional Maintenance Manager to join our team. This role will report directly to the Director of Asset Management and will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our regional fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Compliance: Work with terminals and shops to ensure 100% compliance with federal and provincial regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Training and Development: Conduct mechanic training as required by company policy and regulatory agencies.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect company equipment to ensure compliance and inspect other fleets to assess material condition.
  • Vendor Management: Inspect and approve outside vendors for quality and compliance with company procedures.
  • Operations Management: Work with terminals, shops, and outside vendors to complete all maintenance in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Purchase Orders: Provide purchase orders within authorization limits.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of management experience managing a regional fleet or similar capacity.
  • Training and Certifications: Two years DOT HM-183/B620 training or experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of DOT requirements, proven track record managing multiple locations and employees, good communication skills, and ability to deal with people.
  • Technical Skills: Solid experience with employee relations, safety rules, and procedures, and government regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, experience with TMT desirable.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of tractors and bulk liquid/dry trailers.
