Position Overview:
This role is a pivotal leadership position at DaVita, responsible for architecting and advancing innovative strategies to enhance Corporate Development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and implement strategic initiatives for new healthcare entities, including medical groups and hospitals, in regions where DaVita has limited or no presence.
2. Cultivate partnerships with medium to large medical groups that are not currently affiliated with DaVita, facilitating their expansion into new territories.
3. Engage in multi-year strategic planning sessions with Operations Teams in designated geographic areas.
4. Pursue and secure strategic alliances with significant physician practices, hospitals, and accountable care organizations, encompassing acquisitions and joint ventures.
5. Ensure achievement of growth objectives while adhering to budgetary constraints.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to the Corporate Development Team.
7. Conduct marketing analysis and review statistical reports to identify growth opportunities.
8. Prepare high-level presentations for executive leadership.
9. Lead strategic discussions with divisional leadership teams regarding new business opportunities.
10. Collaborate with Divisional Vice Presidents and regional teams to assess and evaluate growth prospects.
11. Maintain awareness of competitive landscape and proactively analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to implement effective strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred; MBA strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience is essential.
- Experience in healthcare operations is strongly preferred, particularly in dialysis or similar services.
- Proven track record in fiscal and operational management with demonstrated financial acumen.
- Strong project management capabilities and advanced proficiency in MS Excel, along with intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations to senior executives.
- Proven ability to foster strong relationships across cross-functional teams and maximize resources to achieve key performance metrics.
