Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team at Wallick Communities. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable processes supporting our Construction Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Construction Accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Establish Construction project contracts, maintaining accurate records and prompt payments.
  • Process all assigned payables and invoices, reconciling the Balance AP ledgers to the General Ledger.
  • Track and maintain work completion and subsequent payment for each construction project.
  • Pay final retainage and balance systems, performing accounting functions for each construction project.
  • Handle all accounts payable inquiries, researching and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Research vendor transactions when necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous AP and Construction AP supervisory experience.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience in a variety of accounting and finance functions, including receivables, payables, cash management, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with automated accounting software, preferably Yardi, in addition to Microsoft Office.
  • High level of problem-solving and organizational skills to manage vendor relationships and process high-volume weekly payments.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal business units.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, requiring Tuesday/Thursday in-office work. The position requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse, as well as walking, talking, seeing, and hearing. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
