Job Summary

As a Security Shift Supervisor with Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., you will be responsible for managing a construction site with physical security. This includes managing a guard shack, providing great customer service, conducting tours, and performing patrols. You will also function as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client sites. In emergency situations, you will notify proper authorities and clients. Additionally, you will seek advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate, meet personally with employees, and document coaching and disciplinary actions. You will also train Security Officers and other company personnel, ensuring adequate coverage of all posts and positions. Furthermore, you will meet with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service. As assigned, you will carry out supervisory duties that may include interviewing, orienting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. You may also perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a construction site with physical security
* Supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel

* Train Security Officers and other company personnel

Requirements

* Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance
* Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls
* Courteous telephone manner
* Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public
* Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey
* Directing and disciplining staff in a positive manner
* May be required to work overtime without advance notice
* Keyboarding, basic computer usage, and operating controls
* Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others
* Regular use of vehicle for the performance of duties
* May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information
