About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Part Time Custom Framing Specialist to join our team at Michaels Arts and Crafts. Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide a safe, clean, and clutter-free environment for customers, and deliver friendly and personalized service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Framing Solutions: Collaborate with customers to create custom framing solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas, including stock replenishment and visual merchandising.
  • Operational Efficiency: Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements, and execute cash handling and other operational tasks to standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Interact with colleagues in an accepting and respectful manner, and participate in team efforts to achieve sales and production goals.
Requirements
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
  • Physical Demands: Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching, with the ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Sales and Service Skills: Ability to sell products and services to customers, and provide solutions to meet their needs.
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses, and work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
