About the Role:

The Procurement Associate plays a crucial role in formulating inventory strategies and efficiently overseeing inventory levels throughout the Hellolanding distribution network for their specific business segment. The primary objective is to enhance company growth and profitability while meeting customer demand by collaborating closely with Design, Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations, Turnover, and Installation teams to establish and uphold effective inventory and purchasing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in procurement activities related to inventory and category management under the guidance of the Senior Buyer, including ad-hoc analyses, item data upkeep, and purchasing tasks.
  • Support Senior Buyers with purchase order placements, expediting processes, and maintaining current system information while communicating any critical date changes.
  • Oversee inventory strategies for product categories, including new product acquisitions, reorders, and cost management.
  • Manage category planning operations, ensuring adherence to critical deadlines, packaging requirements, data entry, and product lead times.
  • Drive item planning and forecasting for ordering, allocation, and cross-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance to project inventory needs at the category level based on trends, strategies, or shifts in the business environment.
  • Assist in business reviews to identify actions that will optimize inventory levels and gross margins.
  • Develop and present relevant business analyses to influence future purchasing and assortment strategies.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Supply Chain and vendors to enable successful business strategies and flawless execution.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective strategic assortment planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising, planning/allocation, procurement, buying, or a related area.
  • Experience in inventory management, demand planning, supply planning, or production planning.
  • Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to analyze data effectively.
  • Ability to support a collaborative work environment within the Procurement Department, focusing on distinctive products and an engaging customer experience.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and planning tools.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
