About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Compensation Specialist to join our team at B&B Theatres. This is a full-time position that will average 40 hours a week, with some seasonal or busier times requiring extra hours.

As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing and administering various employee benefit programs, including group health, ancillary benefits, 401k, and paid time off.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering employee benefits programs, such as group health, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, dental, vision, accident, and disability insurance, and 401(k).
  • Conducting benefits orientations and explaining the benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Creating and implementing methods to help employees understand company benefits and related incentive programs.
  • Verifying monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and resolving administrative issues with carriers.
  • Leading the annual Open Enrollment process, including documentation, communication, policy offerings, and premiums.
  • Tracking employee eligibility outside of open enrollment.
  • Advising and informing employees of changes and developments related to benefits.
  • Tracking and monitoring PTO.
  • Reporting and coordinating workers' compensation claims with third-party administrators.
  • Communicating effectively with workers' compensation insurance representatives and providing necessary information and documents.
  • Providing guidance and training on best practices for claim reporting and documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate wage structures and spreadsheets for each location.
  • Creating wage offer sheets for new employees.
  • Managing quarterly eligibility for the 401k program.
  • Processing 401k contributions and loans.
  • Completing reports necessary for benefits compliance audits.
  • Researching and comparing incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable provisions of COBRA, ADA, ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Minimum two years of work experience in benefits administration is preferred.
