About the Role

At Abbott, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Demand Analyst to join our team in the Rapid Diagnostic Toxicology Business Unit. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for forecasting and analyzing the demand of US Workplace Toxicology markets to empower our sales teams to achieve their revenue objectives and support the Sales & Operations Planning process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a demand forecasting process that uses sales trends, customer behavior, and market conditions to inform forecasts.
  • Partner with sales teams to execute monthly Demand-to-Supply Handover process, including development of thorough forecast change commentary and risks & opportunities summaries.
  • Collect and report on Demand KPI results & root causes for monthly forecast error, supporting sales leaders in determining next steps to correct forecast error and improve overall use of Demand KPIs in S&OP Process.
  • Support commercial managers with data analysis aimed at driving better outcomes through market segmentation, customer behavior analysis, ordering trends, and product mix changes.
  • Develop and support monthly business reviews, pricing strategies, and other commercial and business excellence activities.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analyses required to support management in any decision or questions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Understanding of Funnel Management, Demand Planning, and Forecasting methodology as well as S&OP Process.
  • Operations and Sales Experience Preferred and/or Understanding of Commercial planning and supply chain planning processes and relationship with demand planning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of forecasts and actual results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to different cultures and communication styles.
  • Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills and PowerBI, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
