We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Specialist to enhance our team of professionals dedicated to safeguarding the essential networks and systems relied upon by our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support for entry-level and intermediate personnel.
  • Confirm and assess critical security incidents and their potential impact.
  • Conduct research and maintain up-to-date knowledge on emerging security threats to enhance our security capabilities.
  • Create intrusion detection signatures and collaborate with Security Engineering for implementation.
  • Engage with the intelligence community to identify and analyze malicious activities and patterns of attack.
  • Develop cyber threat intelligence (CTI) reports and present findings to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Recover lost data from various storage devices that have been compromised or altered.
  • Investigate evidence of cybercrime and analyze computers involved in criminal activities.
  • Utilize expertise to safeguard systems from breaches and recover lost information.
  • Employ forensic tools and investigative techniques to retrieve specific electronic data, including internet usage history and documents.
  • Automate processes through scripting in Python or similar languages.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team to manage threat indicator feeds.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and quality completion of projects and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for obtaining a Public Trust government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Cyber Incident Response may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in security information and event management.
  • At least three years of experience in cybersecurity incident response, with two years in technical roles.
  • Security+ (plus) Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience in drafting intelligence and investigation reports, as well as incident summaries.
  • Proficiency with Splunk and similar tools.
  • Two or more years of experience with tools such as HUMINT, SIGINT, CI, All-Source, Tanium, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Operational knowledge of various vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
  • Experience with:
    • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
    • Monitoring network security events in enterprise environments.
    • Generating security event reports for management.
    • Creating security metric reports for management.
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE).
    • Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI).
    • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+).
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Work Environment:

  • This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for remote work three days a week and onsite presence two days a week.
