Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role within the Interventional Radiology team, collaborating closely with the Interventional Radiologist and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care throughout the procedural process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Function effectively in scrub and recording capacities, assisting the circulator as needed.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to gather patient information, identify critical issues, and document findings accurately.
- Utilize professional judgment to determine the most efficient and effective methods for procedures.
- Anticipate and respond promptly to the equipment and supply requirements of the interventional team.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare providers about the procedures and expectations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in catheter and guidewire exchanges, as well as power injector operations.
- Operate both fixed and mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, adjusting technical factors to optimize imaging while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
- Manage inventory for specialized vascular and interventional supplies.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
- Certification and current registration as a radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Valid state license as a Certified Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or Vascular-Interventional Radiography by the ARRT.
- BLS certification within one year of employment.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with on-call requirements for weekends.
