Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization (CC), as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab.
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Perform technical radiographic procedures in a timely manner.
  • Assist in administration of contrast media.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic images and review quality of radiographs to ensure quality standards have been met.
  • Document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies, and obtains informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and provide explanation of procedures within scope of practice.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists.
  • Rotate call will be assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates Degree from a 2-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years licensed experience in Radiology to include at least one (1) year of IR experience.
  • 18 months experience in special procedures.
  • Angio, Peripheral, and Neuro experience a plus.
  • BLS required upon hire and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
