Job Title: Utility Channel Sales Manager

Vertical Supply Group (VSG) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Channel Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our Utility Channel for the North American market.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, with a strong background in the utility industry. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed sales and profitability goals for VSG's business in this targeted channel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and expansion of the Utility Channel
  • Collaborate with Product/Category Management teams on product offering, positioning, and pricing
  • Participate in creating and implementing sales promotions
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Lead and manage product training programs for retailers, sales reps, and customer support
  • Teach sales representatives to become fluent in and effective at conducting product and sales training
  • Continuously evaluate and propose ideas to grow VSG's Utility channel strategy
  • Develop and deliver the Utility sales budget and multi-year objectives
  • Coordinate and manage the development of monthly and yearly customer sales forecasts
  • Collaborate in hiring, developing, and retaining a highly productive sales team
  • Provide field support, coaching, and guidance for independent agencies and sales representatives

Requirements:

  • B.A or B.S. degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant channel experience in sales (utility channel experience preferred)
  • Proven track record of prospecting, managing accounts, and growing sales
  • Experience working with independent rep firms, service agencies, and/or regional distributors
  • Leadership and management of cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify market trends and analyze sales data
  • Strong computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Domestic travel required

Computer Skills: ERP Software (Syteline & NetSuite) & Microsoft Office (minimum), Tableau and general computer skills, CRM Software (Salesforce, etc)

Physical Demands: Light Work involves lifting up to 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Frequent walking, standing, and sitting. Frequent reaching and/or grasping using hands and/or arms. Frequent use of hands requiring dexterity in using the telephone, computer keyboard, or other objects. Visual ability including distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Regularly required to talk and hear.
