About the Role

Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Athletics is seeking a highly motivated and organized Recreation Coordinator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic and challenging work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the equipment inventory at recreational facilities, report service calls, place work orders, and communicate facility issues with Facilities Management and Campus Services (FMCS) and the Director of Recreation.
  • Manage student hiring processes using Handshake and Workday (WD) systems.
  • Supervise student desk attendants and weight room cleaners for all recreational facilities, and as such, is responsible for training, scheduling, and reviewing and approving time in Workday.
  • Provide operational support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
